To secure stable unmanned operation of wire electrical discharge machining equipment and save manpower by automatically verifying the state of retention of processed material on the workpiece and advancing the machining process, this method for verifying the welded section and verifying retention of said processed material is configured to have: a rough machining process of rough machining a workpiece (6) to form processed material (26); a welding process of welding the processed material (26) on the workpiece (6) at a welded section (20); a detection process of moving the wire electrode (5) along the machining path of the workpiece (6) and detecting whether or not the wire electrode (5) contacts the welded section (20); a process in which the wire electrode (5) contacts the welded section (20), retention of the processed material (26) on the workpiece (6) is detected, and the next machining process is performed; and a process in which the wire electrode (5) does not contact the welded section (20), lack of retention of the processed material (26) on the workpiece (6) is detected, a warning is issued, and the wire electrical discharge machining is stopped. |
