PURPOSE: An electric opening and closing device for a fuel door with a simplified structure is provided to improve operational stability by rapidly moving a lock rod which goes back with the contraction of a shape memory alloy to the front. CONSTITUTION: An electric opening and closing device (1) for a fuel door with a simplified structure comprises a housing (10), a lock rod (20), a clamp (30), and an expansion member (40). The housing has a movement hole (11). The lock rod is installed on the housing to be reciprocated. The front end (20a) of the lock rod moves back and forth through the movement hole with the reciprocation of the lock rod. The clamp is installed on the housing to be reciprocated. The clamp clamps the lock rod. The expansion member is made of a shape memory alloy. The shape memory alloy is contracted or expanded with heat generated by applying a current. The shape memory alloy allows the clamp to reciprocate by changing the length. |
