PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper conveying device not only superior in paper jam processing properties but also superior in paper conveying properties while being small in size and saving space.SOLUTION: A paper conveying device includes one or a plurality of pairs of conveying members nipping and conveying a paper along a paper conveyance passage. A portion of the paper conveyance passage is openably and closably covered by a cover 8. One of the pair of feeding members, as a body side feeding member (timing driven roller 32b), is arranged at a body side. The other of the pair of feeding members, as a cover side feeding member (timing driving roller 32a), is arranged in a position changeable manner relative to the cover 8. A paper conveyance guide 50 is provided at an upstream side or a downstream side of the cover side feeding member in a form capable of being interlocked with the cover side feeding member. |
