PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load drive device that contributes to simplifying a device configuration by detecting a physical value related to a semiconductor switching element without requiring any elements dedicated to detecting the physical value.SOLUTION: In a control circuit 20, as for diodes 11b-14b that are parasitic elements of FETs 11-14, forward voltages of the diodes 11b-14b at the generation of a reflux current are detected as source-drain voltages V11-V14 of the FETs 11-14. The forward voltages of the diodes 11b-14b that are the voltages V11-V14 of the FETs 11-14 correlate with an ambient temperature and are thus used for determining whether the FETs 11-14 overheat. |
