PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a calibration device capable of accurately and stably maintaining the color reproduction properties of an image display device in a target state, and to provide a control method of the calibration device and a program.SOLUTION: The calibration device for calibrating the image display device on the basis of a measured value obtained by measurement means for optically measuring an image displayed on the image display device comprises: calculation means which after calibration causes the image display device to display a patch image of a predetermined color, and calculates a hue difference between the measured value obtained by the measurement means at the time and its target value; and control means which, if the hue difference calculated by the calculation means exceeds a threshold, executes the calibration again.
