PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system of an on-vehicle control device which can improve reliability on the authentication while properly maintaining an authentication function of authentication means of the on-vehicle control device, and to provide an authentication method of the on-vehicle control device.SOLUTION: An on-vehicle control device 110 dynamically connected to a network for a vehicle has: an encryption part 111 for encrypting random numbers; a decryption part 112 for decrypting communication data received from on-vehicle control devices 120-140 and hash values "Ha"-"Hd"; an alteration verification part 113 for verifying alteration of the on-vehicle control devices 120-140 through comparison between the decrypted hash values "Ha"-"Hd" and the hash value held by the device itself. The on-vehicle control device 110 transmits the communication data to any of the on-vehicle control devices 120-140 in accordance with a transfer route, at the time of the authentication and verification of the alteration. |
