PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel ultrafine nepheline syenite powder with controlled particle size and a method of making the novel ultrafine nepheline syenite powder.SOLUTION: An ultrafine rock powder uses, as a raw material, pre-processed naturally generated rock powder not containing free silica, produced from naturally generated rock having Mohs hardness of 6.0-6.5, and having a maximum grain size D99 in the range of 20-150 microns. The ultrafine rock powder is produced from the raw material has a moisture content of less than 0.8 wt.%, a narrow particle size distribution of D5 to D95 of less than 12 microns, a controlled minimum grain size D5 greater than 2 microns, and the controlled maximum grain size D99 of less than 20 microns.
