PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent password leakage caused when an input screen or a user's hand is seen by a third party.SOLUTION: A password input device 100 includes: an input unit 110 which receives an input of a password element, and a switching instruction input that switches a recognition mode which recognizes a password element as a password element for authentication and a non-recognition mode which does not recognize a password element as a password element for authentication; a mode control unit 131 which switches the recognition mode and the non-recognition mode; and a password for authentication creation unit 132 which, every time the input unit 110 receives a password element, determines whether it is the recognition mode or the non-recognition mode, and if it is the recognition mode, which recognizes the received password element as a password element for authentication, and if it is the non-recognition mode, which does not recognize the received password element as a password element for authentication, and which creates a password for authentication from the recognized password element for authentication. |
