PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a study desk which is stable in weight balance since a desk top is fixed to legs and whose effective depth of the desk top can be easily extended and contracted, and also to provide convenient combination furniture of a study desk and bookshelf.SOLUTION: A slot 7 parallel to the upper face of an extendable desk top is formed in a projecting part in the base end side of a support arm 4 fixed in parallel with the depth direction on both lower face sides of the extendable desk top 3 in a horizonal state. On a side more on the extendable desktop side from the slot, a support hole 31 is formed that is vertically penetrated so as to be orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the slot. A support shaft 9 put through the slot is fixed on the inner side of a leg body 2, and the support shaft is made vertically turnable and horizontally movable along the slot. In the state of a horizontal attitude in which the extendable desk top is turned upward and horizontally moved to the front, the attitude is maintained by threadedly engaging a fixing screw 10 inserted through the support hole, with the screw hole 33 of the lower face of the desk top 1. |
