PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress expansion of a container of an electrochemical device, a reduction in capacitance, and an increase in internal resistance after continuous charging, without deteriorating initial characteristics of the electrochemical device.SOLUTION: The present invention provides the electrochemical device using an electrolytic solution containing a nonaqueous solvent, an electrolyte, and a compound represented by formula (1).
