A method for determining the depth of field for a specific distance by means of measuring optics, comprising the steps: - manual optical focussing of the measuring optics by means of the human eye without projection onto a focussing screen, - monitoring the movement of the mechanical elements of the measuring optics during the focussing; - determining and indicating the set distance from the movement, wherein the range of the depth of field for the adjusted distance is determined by calculation and specified in consideration of the focal length, aperture, hyperfocal distance and circles of dispersion. |
