The seal has an adhesion-promoting layer fastened at a planar support surface (11) and another planar support surface of a sealing body (10). The body is made of a weather-resistant elastomer material. A primer layer is applied on a transverse carrier (1) and a vertical carrier (2). The sealing body is measured and positioned with the adhesion-promoting layer on the carriers such that a gap (4) of an opening (3) between the carriers is completely covered by the sealing body. The body is adhered with the carriers by an adhesive layer between the adhesion-promoting layer and the primer layer. The adhesive layer is formed based on chloroprene. An independent claim is also included for a method for sealing a bridge support.
