The method involves determining a first difference value from the reference value and actual value of inlet temperature (T1). A manipulated variable is determined based on the first difference value. A second difference value is determined from the reference value and actual value of exit temperature (T2) of fuel cell. The manipulated variable is modified based on the second difference value. The modified manipulated variable is provided to the moderate temperature system (121), so as to control the inlet temperature of fuel cell (103).
