PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To convey a pallet longitudinally and laterally without providing a movable part for conveyance on a lower surface of the pallet.SOLUTION: In a conveying device configured so that a plurality of conveyance pallets A are movable in longitudinal and lateral directions on a floor surface 1, groove-shape rails (a) are provided on a rear surface of each pallet in the shape of parallel crosses. A slewing pedestal 2 having a vertical slewing support shaft is provided at a position on the floor surface corresponding to crossing parts of the rails. An inclined support shaft 3 having an upwardly oriented high-place end directed to the crossing parts of the rails is axially supported by each slewing pedestal. A roller 5 in which a portion of an outer circumference is engaged with the rail is provided at the high-place end of the inclined support shaft. A driving means 6 driving the inclined support shaft is provided. An interlocking means D for reversibly turning the slewing pedestal by 90 degrees by a direction changing action means is provided.
