PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce pseudo contours generated during display by a time-gradation system.SOLUTION: When displaying a gradation in n bits (n: integer), each bit of the gradation represented by binary digits is divided into three bit group, and one frame is divided into two sub-frame groups. A sub-frames (a: an integer of 0<a<n), which is equivalent to the bits included in a first bit group, are divided into three or more and almost a half thereof is allotted to each sub-frame group; b sub-frames (b: an integer of 0<b<n), which is equivalent to the bits included in a second bit group, are divided into two, and one is allotted to each sub-frame group; and the bits included in a third bit group, equivalent to c sub-frames (c: an integer of 0≤c<n: a+b+c=n), are allotted to at least one sub-frame group. In this case, each sub-frame group is allotted so that the appearing order of plural sub-frames, equivalent to the bits included in the first bit group and the second bit group, is almost the same. |
