摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of accurately detecting cutting force to be produced in a tool and a material to be cut when a material to be cut is machined.SOLUTION: In a cutting system, a machine tool 10 has: a tool (working table 1) on which a material 4, that is to be cut and has a curved surface, is fixed and in which a force sensor is 2 is incorporated; and a machining tool 3. A control PC 30 has a function of detecting the cutting force to be exerted on the machining surface between the machining tool 3 and the material 4 to be cut when the material to be cut is machined with the machine tool 10. This function performs: a process of calculating the direction of the cutting force to be produced on the machining surface at each cutting position by using a cutting simulation process and storing the calculated direction in a DB; a process of obtaining a measured cutting force value from a value output by the force sensor 2 when the material to be cut is machined; and a detection process of computing a cutting force component in the direction planarly-perpendicular to the machining surface between the machining tool and the material to be cut when the material to be cut is machined while matching the measured cutting force value, a current cutting position and DB information.
