PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a decrease in throughput of turbo decoding of data with a high encoding rate by performing normalization processing while taking the encoding rate into consideration.SOLUTION: A normalization section 150 converts m-bit likelihood data found from a reception signal into n(m>n)-bit likelihood data by shifting the data to the right on the basis of a value that the likelihood data indicates, and makes the shift quality smaller when the encoding rate of the reception signal is equal to or larger than a predetermined value than when the encoding rate is smaller than the predetermined value. A turbo decoding section 109 performs turbo decoding using the likelihood data having been converted to (n) bits. |
