A straw-chopper (8) fits crosswise to a harvester- thresher's (1) direction of travel underneath the delivery area (25) of a threshing/axial-flow stripping separator (2). Effective operating width (34) of the straw-chopper is narrower than the casing width (35) of the harvester-thresher.
