PURPOSE: A method and a system for estimating the performance of a pump are provided to use a water level sensor instead of an expensive flow meter, thereby reducing the cost of installing the expensive flow meter. CONSTITUTION: A method and a system for estimating the performance of a pump is as follows. A water level sensor detects the water level increase value, which is increased according to the water flowing from an inlet port, in a pump station, and transfers the water level increase value to a control sever (110). The control server calculates the inflow rate of water flowing into the pump station based on the water level increase value, and controls and operates the first drainage pump of multiple drainage pumps installed in the pump station (120). The water level sensor senses the water level decrease value, which is decreased according to the operation of the first drainage pump, in the pump station, and transfers the water level decrease value to the control server (130). The control server calculates the changed water level and the drainage amount of the first drainage pump in the pump station based on the water level increase value and the water level decrease value (140).
