Method for monitoring the performance of electrical junctions in a current return network of an aircraft

The method involves injecting alternating current into a current return network through a conductor (10) by a current transformer (11) that is electromagnetically coupled to the conductor and dimensioned to provide a current with minimum value to a load of preset impedance i.e. nominal impedance, where the conductor has ends connected to metal elements (A, B) of the network. Value of the current circulating in the conductor is measured. An electric junction (AB) between the elements is identified as faulty when the value of the measured current is lower than the minimum value.
