The invention relates to a hydraulic device (1) comprising a cylinder (2) and a piston (3) wherein the piston (3) is arranged to be able to move back and forth in the cylinder (2). The piston (3) comprises a piston rod (4) and a piston disc (5) dividing the cylinder (2) in the longitudinal extension in a first chamber (6) and a second chamber (7). The length of the of the piston rod (4) is controlled by controlling the flow of hydraulic liquid to the respective chambers (6, 7) so as to extend the length of the piston when liquid is fed to a first inlet opening (8) in the first chamber (6) via a first, push pipe (9) and to retract the piston rod when hydraulic liquid is fed to a second inlet opening (10) in the second chamber (8) via a second, pull pipe (11). The hydraulic device is further provided with an instant pressure relief arrangement in response to an external force above a certain limit acting to extend or retract the piston rod (4) relatively said cylinder (2). The hydraulic device may for example be used for a tilting arrangement for a cab connected to a vehicle chassis.
