PURPOSE: A controller device and a method thereof are provided to reduce the time and energy for optimizing the cultivation environment of a crop when the environment inside a plant factory rapidly changes. CONSTITUTION: Multiple sensors are used to receive environment information for the temperature, the humidity, the CO2 level, and the illumination per predetermined time unit. Each change rate of the environment information per the predetermined time unit is extracted, and a control signal for controlling the cultivation environment is generated based on the optimum cultivation condition and the change rate of the environment information. The time when the control signal is generated, and the control signal are used to receive electricity information for controlling the cultivation environment of a crop.
