<p>#CMT# #/CMT# The cookware lid (1) has a lid base body (2) and a peripheral frame (3), which are connected to each other by a casting compound (4) in a mechanically stable and water-tight manner. A contour of the casting compound is adapted to contours of the lid base body and the frame. The frame comprises a contact surface for contact on a cookware, where the contact surface is circumferentially arranged around the casting compound. A surface of the casting compound has a shape of a concave meniscus, and the frame comprises a silicone material. The base body is made of glass. #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a cookware lid. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Lid for a cookware.
