Solid pharmaceutical composition (I) for oral use comprises: a candesartan cilexetil; and a stabilizing agent comprising esters of saturated fatty acids and monohydroxy alcohols, esters of hydroxycarboxylic acids and monohydroxy alcohols, ethers of 1-4 carbon monohydroxy alcohols and 2-9 carbon polyhydroxy alcohols, saturated fatty acid alkaline salts or panthenol. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for preparing (I) comprising mixing candesartan cilexetil with the stabilizing agent, and molding the mixture; and (2) a tablet of candesartan cilexetil comprising (I) to provide unit dose of candesartan cilexetil, and at least one auxiliary agent. - ACTIVITY : Hypotensive. - MECHANISM OF ACTION : Angiotensin II receptor antagonist.
