<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal which has a power saving lighting mode and a multi-power lighting mode as lighting modes of a display part, and which can be certainly made into the power saving lighting mode even when a user forgets a switching operation to the power saving lighting mode from a state that the portable terminal operates in the multi-power lighting mode. <P>SOLUTION: In a lighting mode data base 15, pieces of lighting time of the power saving and multi-power lighting modes are stored beforehand. When long press of a specific key from an operation input part 2 is detected, a lighting mode control function 13 switches the lighting modes which should be executed for every detection. In addition, the lighting mode is made into the power saving lighting mode by detection of an incoming call signal 1a from a communication part 1; detection of opening/closing from an opening/closing detection part 3; and either of application start, interruption, end notification from an application management function 8 or browsing switching operation notification from applications 9-12. A lighting on/off execution function 14 lights on/off a backlight of a display part 5 according to the lighting time of the determined lighting mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
