The invention provides for an improved method of collecting, lifting, moving and depositing volumes of leaves and other like yard and garden debris. It consists of a durable fabric pad, in the shape of an isosceles trapezoid, with rigid poles attached to the length of each of the equal sides. Leaves are raked onto the pad when it is spread on the ground, while held in place by the operator's foot being placed on one of the poles. The pad with the leaves is then lifted by the operator grasping one of the poles in each hand and bringing the proximal ends together. The operator can then walk with the pile of leaves. By raising the distant ends of the poles and positioning the proximate ends over a receptacle, the leaves can be easily and accurately deposited into a variety of receptacles. When not in use, the invention can be rolled up and stored vertically along with other garden tools.
