PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bumper satisfying the safety standard of a road transportation vehicle while reducing its weight by adopting a simple structure. SOLUTION: An automobile bumper 2 is formed so that a circular or polygonal recesses or projections are connected to one another on at least a part of the bumper. The automobile bumper 2 especially means an inrush prevention device attached to the rear of a truck 1, however, this bumper is also applicable to a private passenger car. Since the rigidity of the bumper is enhanced by forming circular or polygonal recesses or projections on the surface of the bumper, there is no limitation on the shape of the bumper to be applied.
