PURPOSE: An automatic free weight stopper is provided to improve user safety and to prevent a user from being injured. CONSTITUTION: An automatic free weight stopper comprises a module body (12), a ratch wheel rotary shaft which is rotationally supported on the module body, a weight connector which is fixed to the ratch wheel rotary shaft, a ratch wheel which is fixed to the ratch wheel rotary shaft and rotates normally and inversely, a stopper which is hinged to the module body, a solenoid (22) which is fixed in the module body and locks and unlocks the stopper, a spring unit which is fixed to the ratch wheel rotary shaft and rotates the ratch wheel rotary shaft, a sensor for sensing the rotational speed of the ratch wheel rotary shaft, and a control unit which electrically operates the solenoid. |
