A method, as well as a system and a computer readable medium based on the method, for reducing perceived noise, characterized by comprising the steps of
- determining an area of interest (12, 14, 15, 16) in the image, the area of interest (12, 14, 15, 16) being determined in dependence of a foveal vision of a user; and
- applying a stronger noise filtering in a peripheral area (13) of the image than in the area of interest (12, 14, 15, 16), the peripheral area (13) being outside the area of interest (12, 14, 15, 16) and corresponding to a peripheral vision of the user ( Fig. 2 ) |
