Multi-terminal connector socket, with quick attachment to a panel and related installation/removal methods

The socket has two slidable hooks (8) for fastening a housing, where one of the hooks is mounted on the housing to slide between a release position and a fastening position. A tongue extending from a lateral side of the housing is connected to the hook to cause the hook to slide from the fastening position to the release position when an operator presses against the tongue. A spring includes an end connected to the housing, and another end connected to the slidable hook for exerting a thrust force when the hook is in the fastening position and in the absence of pressure on the tongue. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for installing a connector socket (2) a method for removing a connector socket.
