PURPOSE: A thumb turn position changing device of a door lock and a changing method thereof are provided to improve the efficiency of an installation work as improving inconvenience of conventionally disassembling and reinstalling a thumb turn device and a mortise lock. CONSTITUTION: A thumb turn knob (31) is connected to the dead bolt of a mortise lock through an operating rod, and locks or unlocks the dead bolt. A pinion gear (32) is combined in the outer circumference of one side of the thumb turn knob, and rotates the thumb turn knob in a locking or unlocking direction. A first rotary bar rotates around a second hinge part depending to the push or pull operation of a first main body. A rack gear rotates the pinion gear by ascending and descending from the rotation of the first rotary bar, and shifts the thumb turn knob on the mortise lock in a left hand or right hand direction according to the left hand or right hand open direction of a door. |
