The switch (1) has housing that is provided with a cover portion (12) and a base portion (11). A temperature-dependent switching mechanism (15) is arranged in the housing, and is set in electrically conductive connection between the cover portion and the base portion. Two housing outer ports (22,23) are arranged on the top surface (25) of switch main portion, and are connected with two connecting wires respectively. A protective cap made of steel is arranged on the top surface of the cover portion for covering the housing outer ports and the connecting wires leading out sideways. An independent claim is included for a method of assembling temperature-dependent switch. |
