A device for attracting, capturing or disabling insects includes an impeller mechanism arranged to provide an outflow of air out of the device to the atmosphere and to draw an inflow directed countering the outflow from the atmosphere into the device; the outflow being substantially within the inflow creating a vacuum. The device stands upright adapted to position the device with outflow ports directed in a downward direction at the lower area of the device. The upper area of the device has a spacer plate below which is an intake screened upper entrance plate having an open screened area with an insect attractant bait repository tray and a lower containment chamber with a screened floor that serves to capture and retain the baited insects. Located between the aforementioned chambers is a spring loaded check valve port opening that functions in concert with the on and off inflow of a vacuum. The inflow vacuum is created by an impeller driven by a battery powered motor combined with an activating timer switch. The outflow ports are located on the sidewall of the device below the impeller.
