<p>PURPOSE: A method for processing data related to a handover in a wireless network is provided to release a network resource for a packet data network (PDN) connection based on local internet protocol access (LIPA) by a core network (CN) entity. CONSTITUTION: In case a source base station refuses a bearer setup request because a handover of use equipment (UE) is triggered, a mobility management entity (MME) transmits a PDN connection refusal message to the UE (S1109). In case the source base station refuses the bearer setup request because the handover of the UE is triggered, the UE releases a network resource for the PDN connection based on LIPA by a CN entity.
