<p>PURPOSE: A memory device and a wireless communications control method thereof are provided to control a wireless communications function without complying with the control of a host device. CONSTITUTION: A control part (11a) controls a nonvolatile semiconductor memory device. A wireless communications part is controlled by the control part and has a wireless communications function. The control part has a first and a second control mode. If a control command controlling the wireless communications part is not received within predetermined time in the first control mode, the wireless communications part is controlled based on predetermined information. If a control command controlling the wireless communications part is received within predetermined time in the second control mode, the wireless communications part is controlled based on the control command.
