PURPOSE: A secondary battery prevents the deformation of a secondary battery by widening the thickness of a corner part than the thickness of the peripheral parts. CONSTITUTION: A secondary battery (10) comprises an electrode assembly including a positive electrode and a negative electrode; a case (30) having a space in which the electrode assembly is mounted; and a cap plate (25) which is coupled to the opening of the case. A support part supporting the cap plate is formed in the corner part of the case. The upper end of the support part is separated from the opening of the case and is in contact with the lower side of the cap plate. The corner part is shaped in an arc. The curvature of the inner side of the support part is greater than that of the outer side of the support part.
