A secondary battery is provided to improve the fastening of a positive electrode current collector and an upper insulating plate and to prevent the shortage of a can and an uncoated area. A secondary battery comprises an electrode group(10) which comprises a positive electrode plate(11), a negative electrode plate(12) and a separator(13) interposed between them; a can(20) which accommodates the electrode group and has an aperture; a positive electrode current collector(40) which is connected with the uncoated area(11a) formed on the positive electrode plate and is provided with a plurality of grooves(41); an upper insulation plate(60) which is provided with the hooks(63) corresponding to the grooves and a holder(61); a cap assembly(30) which seals the aperture of the can; and an insulation gasket(31) which is provided between the cap assembly and the can. |
