PURPOSE: A dual mode display device is provided to operate in a reflective mode and a transmissive mode according to external light, thereby reducing power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A first image display unit (DP1) transmits light in a first mode. The first image display unit displays an image by reflecting the light in a second mode. A second image display unit (DP2) turns on in the first mode and displays the image. The second image display unit turns on in the second mode. An optical payment layer transmits or reflects the light according to an electric field.
