PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition with enhanced antioxidation activity is provided to protect damaged muscle tissues caused by reactive oxygen. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition with enhanced antioxidation activity contains an extract of matured Zingiber officinale Roscoe. The matured Zingiber officinale Roscoe is stored at 70-90°C and a humidity of 70-90% for 5-15 days. The extract reduces oxidative damages of muscle tissues. A health food with enhanced antioxidation activity contains the extract.
