METHOD FOR SEPARATION AND RECOVERY OF SILICON FROM SILICON SLUDGE

PURPOSE: A method for separating and recovering silicon from silicon sludge is provided to remove oil, iron and silicon carbide from silicon sludge, to selectively separate and recover silicon, and to dispense with an additional device for putting an additive in to leach a certain component or removing iron such as a magnetic separator. CONSTITUTION: A method for separating and recovering silicon from silicon sludge comprises the steps of: removing oil by distilling silicon sludge generated in the process of producing a semiconductor article; producing a silicon sludge solution by dispersing the silicon sludge in distilled water; treating the silicon sludge solution with ultrasonic waves; separating phases by centrifugating the silicon sludge solution; and recovering silicon particles from the silicon sludge solution with phases separated.
