PURPOSE: A position tracking apparatus capable of training an animal is provided to grasp the position of the animal and train the animal for desirable behavior when the animal does undesirable behavior. CONSTITUTION: A portable device (100) generates transmission data which includes an intensity command code of an electric impulse, a generation command code of vibration or electric impulse, and a position information request code of an animal. A global positioning system (GPS) device (200) is equipped in a leash which is fastened on the body of the animal, extracts the intensity command code of vibration or electric impulse or the generation command code of vibration or electric impulse from the transmission data which is delivered from the portable device, and generates and delivers transmission data which includes an identifying code of a training device. The training device (300) is equipped in the leash which is fastened on the body of the animal to be adjacent to the GPS device, receives the intensity command code of vibration or electric impulse or the generation command code of vibration or electric impulse from the GPS device through the transmission data, and generates a vibration or an electric impulse according to the corresponding command.
