PURPOSE: The extension cable connection structure of a temperature measuring member and an extension cable connecting method are provided to suppress the generation of a gap caused by the thermal expansion difference of a synthetic resin of a connection unit and the outer circumference of a sheath base after cooling, thereby maintaining a good adhering state. CONSTITUTION: The extension cable connection structure (2) of a temperature measuring member is formed by connecting a pair of strands (13a, 13b) drawn out from a sheath base of a temperature measuring member to a pair of conductive lines (23a, 23b) drawn out from the front end portion of an external cladding (21) of an extension cable. A connection unit (50) of a thermoplastic polyamide resin coating the strands, a pair of connecting units, and the conductive lines for isolating the same from each other is formed on the front end portion of the extension cable via the connecting units connecting the strands and the conductive lines from a base unit (12). The connection unit is formed of a hot melt mold. |
