The coupling has a coupling plate (2) and two bearing supports (5) for attachment of the coupling plate at a vehicle frame (8) of a towing vehicle. The supports have a supporting area (6) and an attachment area (7), where the attachment area is formed in the vehicle frame for detachable attachment of the supports to a cross-unit (9). The attachment area is formed in a junction plate between the cross unit and the frame and has a U-shaped base part.
