PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for managing electronic appliances are provided to determine the abnormality of the electronic appliances such as aging. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus (130) for managing electronic appliances (110) comprises a network interface (132), a processor (134), a database (136), a user interface (138). The network interface receives first power consumption information measured in the electronic appliances while operation requested by the users of the electronic appliances is performed. The database stores second power consumption information corresponding to the requested operation and third power consumption information at a predetermined time corresponding to the requested operation. The processor updates the second power consumption information using the received first power consumption information and determines whether the electronic appliances aged based on the third power consumption information and the updated second power consumption information.
