PURPOSE: A hypnotization method and an apparatus using an electroencephalogram (EEG) pillow are provided to install a device measuring the brain wave in the pillow, thereby sensing the dormant status of a user by measuring the brain wave of the user while sleeping and changing the external sleeping environment depending on the sensed dormant status. CONSTITUTION: A hypnotization method using an EEG pillow comprises the following steps: a step of measuring a brain wave signal of a user by using the electrode for the detection of brain wave included in the pillow; a step of determining whether a user is in the sound sleeping step or not by analyzing the measured brain wave; and a step of generating and transmitting an external device control signal which induces the user to reach to the sleep if the user is not in the sound sleeping step. A hypnotization system using the EEG pillow comprises a brain wave measuring device (200) which measures the brain wave of the user if the user head contacts to the pillow; a brain wave analyzing unit which determines whether the user is in the sound sleeping step by analyzing the measured brain wave; and a control unit which generates and transmits an external device control signal which induces the user to reach to the sleep if the user is not in the sound sleeping step.
