PURPOSE: A colorant dispersion is provided to be able to obtain a color filter with high brightness from the manufactured coloring curable composition. CONSTITUTION: A colorant dispersion is manufactured by dispersing a colorant in a solvent by a dispersant. The colorant contains a xanthene dye, and practically does not include a pigment. The content of the xanthene dye is 40 mass% or more and 100 mass% or less to the total amount of the colorant. The dispersant has amine. The amine value of the dispersant is 0-55 mgKOH/g.
