PURPOSE: A method for installing an insulation material in an insulation box for an LNG storage tank is provided to enable the easy and convenient installation work of an insulation material by installing the insulation material in an insertion space to have a clearance space. CONSTITUTION: A method for installing an insulation material in an insulation box (100) for an LNG storage tank is as follows. An insulation material is installed in an insulation material insertion space of an insulation box except for a portion of the insulation material insertion space. The empty space of the insulation material insertion space is filled with a powder-type insulation material. The insulation material insertion space is 90-95% of the whole space of the insulation box.
