PURPOSE: An originator based incoming call alarming method and an apparatus thereof are provided to classify the originator upon the calling number, and are provided to provide an incoming call alarm which has volume or vibration intensity suitable for the originator. CONSTITUTION: A storage unit (20) saves address including the telephone number and name. Once an incoming call is received, a grade deciding unit (73) extracts the address information corresponding to the call number from the address. The grade deciding unit analyzes the name according to the address information. The grade deciding unit decides the administration grade corresponding to the presence of the number of characters or a specific character and the kinds of the specific character. An incoming call alarming unit (77) processes the incoming call alarm by a bell sound level or vibration intensity corresponding to the administration grade.
