The device (100) has primary and secondary parts (102, 104) including high and low frequency channels producing high and low frequency components from an input signal (Si) so as to form an output signal (So). A control circuit formed of summing point (D1) and a proportional/integral corrector circuit (132) receives setpoint and image signals (Sic, Soim) representative of the input and output signals and applies a correction signal (VCOR) in the high and/or low-frequency channel as a function of difference between the image and setpoint signals so as to cause the difference toward zero.
