A pedestal washing machine is provided to support a washing machine and wash a small amount of laundry without driving the washing machine, thereby saving energy. A pedestal washing machine comprises a case(110), an outer tub(140), an inner tub(150), and a steam generator(185). The case is smaller than a washing machine to support the washing machine stably. The outer tub is installed in the case, and contains water. The inner tub is installed in the outer tub to contain laundry and rotated. The steam generator is installed between the outer tub and a corner in the case to supply steam into the inner tub. A water supply valve(182) is also installed between the outer tub and the corner in the case to selectively and simultaneously supply water from an external water supply source to the outer tub and the steam generator. |
